User guide
Bring in your notebooks
Open Upload and add pages straight from your phone’s camera roll, drag in a folder of scans, or drop a PDF. There’s no page-by-page prompting — Keep reads each page in the background and lets you know, in the app and by email, when a notebook is ready.
Browse your shelf
Your notebooks line up on the shelf in the order you lived them, earliest to latest. Tap any one to open it.
Read a notebook
The page image is always the hero. Move through with previous and next, jump to a date, and tap a page to reveal its transcription beneath it — never instead of it.
Find any line
Open Find and type a word, a name, or a phrase you once wrote. Results are your own words, in date order, each one opening the exact page.
Ask your notebooks
Ask answers questions using only your own pages, and cites the page each answer came from. It never invents and never paraphrases.
Fix a date or the order
Every automatic decision is yours to change. Edit a page’s date or reorder pages from the reader, and your shelf re-settles around it.
Manage your plan
Plans are annual, and your pages are never capped — if you pass what a plan includes, we gently suggest more room rather than lock you out. Change or cancel any time from Plan & billing in your account menu.
Your sign-in
Keep signs you in with a link sent to your email — no password to remember. You can change your email or sign out everywhere from Manage sign-in.
Frequently asked
How does Keep read my handwriting?+
Each page is transcribed verbatim — exactly as you wrote it, line breaks and all. Anything genuinely unreadable is marked [?] rather than guessed, and nothing is ever paraphrased or summarised.
Are my notebooks private?+
Yes. Your pages are isolated to your account, kept private, and never used to train anything. They are yours alone.
What can I upload?+
Photos from your phone (including iPhone HEIC), JPGs and PNGs, whole folders, or a PDF. Bring in a single page or a thousand at once.
What if a date or the page order is wrong?+
You can fix it. Dating and ordering are automatic but never final — edit a date or reorder pages from the reader and everything re-settles around your change.
Is there a limit to how much I can keep?+
No hard cap. Each plan includes a generous amount of pages; if you go beyond, we nudge you toward a larger plan but never block a page or hide your work.
How do I change or cancel my plan?+
Open your account menu → Plan & billing → Manage billing. There you can switch plans, update your card, download invoices, or cancel — cancellations take effect at the end of your current year.
I didn’t get my sign-in email.+
Check your spam folder, and always open the most recent link — each one works once and lasts about an hour. Still stuck? Send us a note below.
Can I export or delete my archive?+
Any time, yourself. Open your account menu → Manage sign-in. There you can export a complete copy of your archive, or permanently delete your account and everything in it.
